Once bonded, there is no dollar limit put on the residential specialty contractor for work performed. The South Carolina Residential HVAC License (Air Conditioning) is a specialty license, issued to an individual, not a business entity, for anyone engaging in residential HVAC work over $200, on residential buildings that are sixteen units or less, and do not exceed 3 stories.This license limits the individual to $5,000 per residential project, unless a surety bond of at least $10,000 is obtained from the Commission.
